     Holidays at the Polish seaside

The Baltic Sea coast belongs to the most popular tourist destinations in Poland. The coast is over 500 km long and full of wide sand beaches, dunes, hiking and cycling trails as well as numerous picturesque towns offering first class tourist attractions. You can simply relax on the beach in the sun, enjoy many types of water sports or explore the beautiful landscapes and the lively cultural and night life. There are also various places to stay at, you don’t have to depend on hotels. There are also many private accomodations to choose from, such as summer cottages, apartments, holiday flats and houses, boarding houses or guest rooms.

The most popular seaside resorts in Poland

One of the most popular seaside resorts in Poland, especially among German tourists, is Swinoujscie. It is one of the most beautiful cities at the Baltic Sea in Poland and also one that is located very closely to the German border. The city offers wide beaches, healthy sea climate and various other attractions, including the highest lighthouse in Poland. Swinoujscie has also one of the most important harbours in Poland, where you can take a ferry into other regions at the Baltic Sea.

Equally popular is Kolobrzeg - a town with an extremely interesting location at the estuary of the River Parseta and next to a lake. The city's history dates back to the 9th century and attracts many visitors with its boulevard, pier and wonderful beaches.

Leba is another interesting place at the Polish Baltic Sea. The city is famous for its dunes - without doubt the most beautiful ones in Europe. They are protected in form of a national park and have the most interesting hiking trails on the polish coast. This former fishing village is also one of the most important water sports centres in Poland.

One mustn't forget Gdansk, of course, the biggest city at the Polish Baltic Sea, which also forms the so called Tricity metropolis with the neighbour towns Sopot and Gdynia. The long and exciting history of Gdansk, the vivid cultural life and night life and other attractions typical for a big metropolis create best conditions for interesting and diversified holidays.
